For years, in fact decades, I’ve studied success and the awesome subject of results. It’s so fascinating to discover why some succeed and some don’t, and some are in between.
Defining success in itself would take a whole library of books, and I’ve written several on the subject myself. The one book we’re discussing here, though, is a prelim to success. In fact, since you’re connected to me, we’re actually giving you a copy today. The title is Strategic Preparation.
My team invested months producing the work in 2019. Then COVID changed the world this year. Wow! What a year! Despite all the limitations, postponements, cancellations, and even disappointments, 2020 was actually a very blessed year for me and my family. We plowed through all the weirdness, just like everyone else,
and…
I was able to help many people win more, including my clients, my kids, my tenants, my friends, my colleagues, and of course my team.
The reason?
I invested years strategically preparing for the next week, the next month, the next year, the next decade, and even my next generation! (My daughter is having a baby—yay! So blessed!)
Strategic preparation is huge! Why do so many people not focus here like they could or should? It’s probably because it’s about both delayed gratification and discipline.
It takes:
- Thinking ahead
- Investing in yourself
- Helping others win (doing favors)
- Saving financially
- Inspiring yourself (That’s right—you have to own this little nugget. I get up early and work out, go to bed reading, and develop my to-do list daily, even on most weekends.)
- The ability to see the other person’s perspective
- Building tools (Tools work! They give you leverage.)
- Study (I’m actually being mentored and coached, and I read books and glean wisdom daily.)
(These are a few biggies in the book. Read the table of contents for more.)
Please enjoy, study, learn from, and share from and about this new book we will be releasing to the world very soon. You get the first copy!
Let me know if you’d like a hard copy, and we’ll get one to you.
Cheers to helping others win, seeking and taking good advice, and preparing now so your future will be brighter.
Let’s make 2021 a year full of many wins.
P.S. Send cool people our way. We love helping winners win more and do our best to ask those connected to us (you) to be our connectors. If you know someone or an organization that needs strategic clarity, advanced coaching, or a little supercharging to make them or their organization more valuable, please link the dots with a simple email.
